Chartering New Clubs

The process of chartering a new Toastmasters club is a very exciting journey!  A marketing team of passionate and committed Toastmasters is waiting to accompany you on this adventure!  We’re here to guide and assist you however we can to  enable the start of this new Toastmasters club.  We invite you to please contact us at your earliest convenience!

To have a successful club, your business or community should have access to at least 100 members, as individuals will come and go through the life of the club. District 56 is here to help you start, or charter, your club and to help you make your club successful.

To start a Toastmasters Club, you will need at least 20 members and certain fees. If you are a single person or a small group, may we suggest you join one of our 180 clubs in southeast Texas. Should you wish to start your own club – and we you are – please contact us at cgd@tmd56.orgto help you with the fees and forms required to begin your club.

Charter Requirements:
  1. Membership: To start a club, you will need 20 new members. We recommend that your organization consist of at least 100 members or that you are willing to open your meeting space to neighboring properties. The District Marketing Team would love to meet with you, should there be a need to meet with your organization’s Executives or HR Department prior to their commitment. Please contact us at
  2. Fees: To receive a club charter and the privileges associated with Toastmasters, certain membership fees need to be paid. The fees are: (a) a one-time application fee of $125 for your club. (b) A one-time new-member fee of $20 per person, and (c) the first six month membership fee of $45 per person. Please contact us at for any clarifications you may need.

The marketing team will assist you by organizing a set of kick off meetings to help the club lay a strong foundation to becoming a strong, vibrant new Toastmasters club!
